South Shore Fire Training is made up of a group of working firefighters from across Northern Indiana, dedicated to delivering practical, street-ready instruction grounded in real-world experience.

Our cadre is founded and led by firefighters with an incredible passion for the job—one that carries directly into the training we provide. Every course is designed to help firefighters improve performance on the fireground through realistic, hands-on learning and proven methods.

Our philosophy is simple: Teaching Tactics that have stood the test for generations of North American firefighting, taught and explained in a way that pushes students toward true mastery of their skill set. We do not sell fads or proprietary systems. Instead, we focus on fundamentals, repetition, and understanding the skill and how it affects the fireground.

South Shore Fire Training strives to create a learning environment that mirrors the realities of the street, supported by low student-to-instructor ratios that allow firefighters to progress through the cognitive, associative, and autonomous stages of skill acquisition.
